This isn’t technically a review of the Ocarinabut more of a piece of information.  You can see my review on my post Ocarina:  The Art of Pleasing Your Children Through Summer Vacation.

But, you can get some information on this site too.

History of The Ocarina
The ocarina is an ancient instrument. The first known ocarina-like instrument appear about 12000 years ago. The ocarina’s origins can be traced back to many different cultures. In South and Central America, the Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas all developed and performed on clay ocarinas which were often shaped like birds or animals. Ocarinas shaped like birds and animals could also be found in India as early as 5000 BC. China had its own form of ocarina called a Xun which was more rounded and egg-like in shape.

Depending on where you live, you may or may not already have a home security team to help you monitor your property. I live way out in the middle of no man’s land so normally it’s not a problem.  But, because I live so far out, we sometimes worry as well.

So, regardless of where you live or what you have going on.  If you live in Texas, you can always check with the Forth Worth, PD to make sure that you are going to be protected when you are at home and when you aren’t.

If you aren’t sure about your surroundings, be sure to check the local authorities and then go through the best police security tips that are relevant everywhere as well as the specifics for where you live.

Some of these guys are World Series Bound and Need Your Help!

I was a sun-bathing nut when I was younger.  And, my skin is definitely showing the signs of all the time I spent on the beach and in tanning beds.  You can read my review of the UltraSheer Liquid Daily Sunscreen called

I’m telling you, this is a do not miss opportunity!

Ah, that’s the best I can do in the rhyming line of writing.  Honestly, if I told you everything I thought about the products I received from Tree Hut, we would be hear all day and night. Tree Hut is like being a walking bonbon or something.  I was so excited that when I used the shower gel for the first time, I called my husband into the bathroom just to smell of me.

Then, once I was out, it took all I could do to go ahead and dry off and put the lotion on.  I was just standing there, sniffing the Hawaiian Kukui.  I mean really, how can something in a jar be so awesome?

I mean, I love to eat and I was thinking about eating my own arm by the time I was all buttered up.  And the smell, it lingered for hours.  I watched people at the ball fields sniff as I walked by.  And, they weren’t sniffing in horror, trust me, they were looking for the human pineapple that night.

If you own an iphone or ipod, you probably spend a great deal of time trying to protect it.  These little gems are just way to expensive to let them slip out of your hands or fall off a desk.  So, if you are planning to travel and want to make it easier to use phone in hotels, planes or automobiles, then you definitely need to check out the idox.  You can also use it at the gym or just at home or on your desk.

Here are the official specs on it but really, what’s better than hearing a consumer tell you that it is a great tool.  Yes, I received the idox to try but while I love my product reviews, I don’t sell them, what I see is what you get.

The specs:

Phone fits snuggly inside the Traveler and folds up for on-the-go protection in your briefcase, pocket or purse. Flip Traveler open to a perfect angle to browse music and photos, view movies and Podcasts.

  • Hard Cover provides wrap around protection.
  • Flip-Cover Snaps closed to provide unsurpassed protection for your iPhone.
  • Soft-Touch feet establish stable base for Stand viewing.
  • Easily connect to Bluetooth, Ear Phones, or Power Adapter.

And, it comes in Platinum, black and pink.  I didn’t get the pink one but that thing is darn cute.

Cool eh?

So, yea, in full disclosure, the folks at BabyBunch have been so good to me.  I’ve received some great products over the years and I’ve asked for a lot of them.  But, BabyBunch has been so wonderful to me.  When the have a product they are featuring, they’ve been kind enough to include me in their reviews and giveaways.

Just look at this gem…

Baby Bunch Organic Cupcakes

I know, you are looking at it thinking it is sooo adorable but also wondering what in the world?  That’s the beauty of BabyBunch, this is a pack of four onesies.  They are packaged so adorably that if you use them for baby shower gifts, you can forgo the wrapping.  After all, how flipping gorgeous are these.

So, that’s my thoughts on this particular item.  One of the other times I was fortunate enough to work with them, I received the most adorable set of onesies all wrapped up to look like a bouquet of flowers.

I guess you would like to have some of these for yourself too eh?  You can win one of the Organic Cupcake Onesies yourself on my other blog.  Go enter now and don’t forget to enter daily for more chances to win…It’s Mother’s Day!  Get Yourself a BabyBunch

In the name of disclosure, I received the XProTex batting gloves in exchange for a review.  But, at the same time, you know, I don’t play (not about product reviews anyway) and my opinions are my opinions without influence.

If you don’t trust me, how about the opinions of the likes of professional athletes like Bengie Molina and Omir Santos.

Omir Santos says he’d wear them for free.

If the professionals will wear them for free, who am I to argue.  A few other major selling points in my book:

The gloves have a flexible layer of an impact-absorbing, rubber-like composite placed strategically where pitches are most likely to hit.

XProTeX representatives say the gloves reduce the impact of a player being hit by a 100 mph pitch to the equivalent of 39 mph, decreasing the chances of significant injury to the hands and wrist.

The gloves work in tandum with a group known as Stop Sports Injuries and you can get more information on that by visiting their site www.stopsportsinjruies.org.

The gloves are supported by one of the most popular sports injury physicians in the nation, Dr. James Andrews.  I have personally seen Dr. Andrews myself as a collegiate athlete so let’s just say, I’d give him my heart to hold in his hands if he recommended it.  The gloves…a no brainer.

And, also XProTeX works with Dr. Marcus Eilliott, a Harvard trained physician and doctor for the New England Patriots specializing in the development of elite athletes.  He can offer some great tips around protecting children in sports.

Check out this small video clip of my oldest son using the gloves…we have a five gallon bucket with 60 balls in it.  They hit 60 at a time and then switch.  They do this 4 or 5 or 10 times every afternoon depending on how much energy the adults around here have.  But, if you look around, you can find video clips of our homemade pitching machine too.

Here you go, what do you think?
